Montclair police were called to the scene of a "large fight" on Pine Street, but the alleged combatants were gone before cops arrived.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police were called to the scene of a “large fight” on Pine Street last week, but the alleged combatants were gone before cops arrived, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, when officers arrived on the scene on Oct. 12, they found that the crowd had already dispersed. However, police found a 21-year-old Montclair man with a laceration to his arm and buttock still in the area.

Emergency responders with the Montclair Ambulance Unit transported the injured man to Mountainside Hospital for treatment, police said.
