Montclair Now Has 200 Coronavirus Cases, 22 Deaths
Montclair has the third-highest COVID-19 death toll in Essex County, behind only Newark and Irvington, authorities say.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — With 22 fatalities linked to the new coronavirus, Montclair has the third-highest death toll in Essex County as of Wednesday morning, authorities say.
The only municipalities with more COVID-19 deaths in the county were Newark, 83, and Irvington, 24, according to Essex County officials.

There were 200 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Montclair as of 9 a.m., county officials said. The actual total may be even higher, as the data only includes people who have been tested and whose lab results have been reported in the state’s database.
