Montclair Council OKs Temporary Town Budget For 2024
Montclair's temporary spending plan contains provisions for traffic safety improvements, an administrator said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Montclair Town Council gave their blessing to a temporary municipal budget for 2024 at their Tuesday meeting.
The council voted 5-2 in favor of Resolution 24-001, which authorizes the adoption of the 2024 temporary budget (watch video footage below). The spending plan will remain in effect until the full year’s municipal budget is introduced.
Mayor Sean Spiller and council members William Hurlock, Roger Terry, Robin Schlager and Lori Price Abrams voted yes. Council members Robert Russo and David Cummings voted no.

Interim Township Manager Michael Lapolla said the temporary budget contains provisions for traffic safety improvements in the first quarter of the fiscal year.

The next meeting of the Montclair Town Council is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 30. Regular and conference council meetings are held at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at the Municipal Building, 205 Claremont Avenue.
