Montclair Detective Earns ‘Community Impact Award’

The award is presented to a law enforcement officer who has "demonstrated devotion to community service."

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair Police Detective Kim Nelson-Edwards received the Community Impact Award at the annual New Jersey Women in Law Enforcement (NJWLE) conference held at Rutgers University on May 17.

According to a municipal news release, the award is presented annually to a law enforcement officer who has “demonstrated devotion to community service as well as improving the conditions within a community,” including contributions to nonprofit organizations and volunteer efforts to community causes.
