MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police say that burglaries are on the rise in the southwest part of town. But what streets have burglaries been reported on during the past month?

Last week the Montclair Police Department issued an advisory, warning residents “in the southwest end of town” that there has been an uptick in burglaries during the past two months. In nine of these incidents, the point of entry was an unsecured window or door, Montclair officials said.

The below map, taken from Montclair police blotter reports from to February 4 to April 4, includes some of the most recent burglaries reported in the township. It may not include the full scope of police activity in the area.
