Montclair Fund for Women Awards Grants to Area Nonprofit Organizations

Eleven Grants Made for 2025

Montclair, New Jersey, August 2025: The Montclair Fund for Women awarded $71,000 in annual grants to area nonprofit organizations providing services to women and girls. Board of Trustees President Tanya Poteat said, “We are proud to support the vibrant and necessary work of the following non-profit organizations providing services to women and girls in Montclair and West Essex.”

Grants to organizations include:

· Connections at Home, to connect socially-isolated senior women through technology: $2000

· Family Promise of Essex County: $10,000.

· IMANI for their girls’ support program: $5000

· Jazz House Kids for CHiCA Power!, their signature program to ensure girls can learn and become successful jazz musicians: $8000.

· Mindful Awareness Academy for Children for their “Press Submit Summer Bootcamp” college readiness program: $6000.

· Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence for their Immigrant Mother Support and Networking program: $6000.

· Montclair Neighborhood Development Corporation for girls’ participation in Project Oasis, their six-week summer program: $10,000.

· Succeed2gether for their STEM for girls program: $7000.

· The Side Door at Union Congregational Church for their Friday afternoon middle-school drop-in program: $5000.

· We’ve Got Friends to support programs for teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities: $2000.

· YWCA Eastern Union County for their domestic violence Crisis Response Team: $10,000.

The Montclair Fund for Women is a private nonprofit foundation. Since 2001, the Fund has awarded well over one million dollars to nonprofit organizations working to advance and support women and girls in Montclair and North Essex.
