Montclair To Get Visit From ‘Hope One’: Drug Addiction, Recovery

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Montclair Police Department will host the “Hope One Recovery Vehicle” at Glenfield Park, 21 Maple Avenue in Montclair on April 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to a news release from the MPD, “Hope One” is a mobile access unit which brings addiction and recovery services to those in need. The April 18 event will include access to detox, rehab, mental health services and recovery services, as well as support, information and screening for services, police said.

The event will also include free Narcan training and a Narcan kit for anyone who qualifies, police said.

According to the MPD:

“The Morris County Sheriff’s Office is partnered with CARES-Center for Addiction, Recovery, Education and Success and the Mental Health Association of Morris County on the HOPE One mobile outreach vehicle. The Opioid Overdose Prevention Project is made possible by funding received from the New Jersey Governor's council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services and Morris County Prevention Is Key, INC.”
