Montclair Is For Lovers? Not According to Foursquare

If you wanted a little romance on Valentine's Day, where would you go? Probably not to Montclair, according to Foursquare's list of most romantic cities. But you could go to New York City, which ranked number five on its recently released list.

But Montclair did score number one when it came to best burgers on the East Coast, according to the social network. Indeed, burgers at at 556 Bloomfield Avenue were described as simply perfection, "juicy & delicious, nicely seasoned with salt."

Incidentally, at 989 Bloomfield Avenue came in at number 15.

When it comes to New Jersey diners, the Tick Tock Diner in nearby Clifton came in at number three. The accompanying comment? "3 a.m. plus disco fries equals glorious!"

Even so, Foursquare passed over Montclair when it came to romantic cities in its study that was based on results from more than 1.5 billion check-ins at romantic places such as French restaurants, flower shops, and lingerie stores.

The title of most romantic city went to Lake Buena Vista, FL—home to Walt Disney World, while Beaverton, OR—home to athletic mega-brand Nike—was named the least romantic.
