Montclair Krauszer's Robbed: Man Brandished Metal Bar, Police Say

Montclair police are seeking a suspect who allegedly robbed a local convenience store brandishing a three-foot metal bar.

Montclair, NJ - Montclair police are seeking a suspect who allegedly robbed a local convenience store brandishing a three-foot metal bar.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the alleged armed robbery took place around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the Krauszer’s store at 150 Valley Road.

A female employee working alone at the time reported that a male suspect entered, holding a three-foot metal bar. The suspect allegedly forced the employee over to the register, demanding money.

The employee gave the suspect cash from the store register, and he then fled on foot with an unknown amount of money, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male about 5’5” to 5’7” with a stocky build, wearing a hooded army green jacket, black mask, and gloves, police said.

There were no injuries in this incident, according to authorities.
