Montclair Man Charged With Murder, Allegedly Shot N.J. Man In Newark
Police have charged a Montclair man with fatally shooting a 22-year-old Irvington resident in Newark, authorities say.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Police have charged a Montclair man with fatally shooting a 22-year-old Essex County resident on Sunday, authorities say.
Brandon Williams, 22, of Montclair, allegedly shot and killed James Goff, 22, of Irvington, on the 200 block of Clifton Avenue in Newark, according to a joint release from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Public Safety Department.
Police arrested Williams a short time after the shooting, which has been classified as a homicide. Authorities charged Williams with Murder, Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose.

An Essex County Superior Court Judge set Williams’ bail at $750,000 with no 10 percent option. He is being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark.
