Montclair Man Shot On Street, Collapses In Barber Shop: Police

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police are searching for a man who allegedly shot a victim on Bloomfield Avenue on Saturday night. The victim made his way to a nearby barber shop after the shooting and collapsed. He’s hospitalized in stable condition, authorities said.
According to the Montclair Police Department, officers responded to the area of Bloomfield Avenue and Mission Street at 7 p.m. after receiving a report about “shots fired.” On arrival, officers found a 26-year-old man – a Montclair resident – lying on the floor of a local barber shop.
Police said that the man was shot on Bloomfield Avenue and made his way to the barber shop afterwards, where he collapsed.

The officers rendered medical aid to the gunshot victim. Soon, Montclair EMS responders arrived on the scene and transported the man to Mountainside Hospital. He’s listed in stable condition, police said Monday.
After an investigation, police identified Rueben Moore, 28, of Montclair, as the suspected shooter (see below photo). Moore was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and “weapons offenses,” authorities said.
