DEWATERING GAS MAINS

In addition to complications from the broken water main, PSE&G has notified the township that water was introduced into some of its gas mains, Montclair officials stated Tuesday.

PSE&G crews are in the process of dewatering gas mains on Central Avenue, James Street, Midland Avenue and Valley Road, officials said.

The PSEG issue may affect heating for residents of the above streets, officials said.

“It is expected that PSE&G will have all necessary work completed by late Friday evening,” officials added.
