Montclair Police Accuse Man Of Stealing Copper Pipes

Montclair police charged a local man with burglary after officers caught him with a bundle of 18 copper pipes, authorities said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police charged a local man with burglary last week after officers caught him with a bundle of 18 copper pipes, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, patrol units responded to a construction site near South Willow Street and Bloomfield Avenue on Sept. 16 after receiving a report about a man stealing copper piping.

Officers found Jamal Quince McGhee, 20, of Montclair, on a nearby street. He was in possession of a bundle of 18 copper pipes, police said.
