Montclair Police Blotter: Jan. 26 to 31

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted from the Montclair police blotter, a listing of selected reports that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

1-26-2016 (Glenridge Ave) - Theft from a food delivery vehicle. Approximately $50 worth of food was taken from the unlocked vehicle.

1-26-2016 (Warren Place) - A 47-year-old Montclair resident was arrested for Criminal Trespass. She was also found to have an open warrant out of the City of Newark ($1,000). A $1,500/10% bail was set.

1-27-2016 (South Park Street) – An 18-year-old male from Montclair and a male juvenile were arrested for Simple Assault. The 18-year-old was issued a summons and released.

1-27-2016 (Orange Rd) - An 18-year-old from Montclair was arrested for Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS), Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute, Distribution of CDS within 1,000 feet of a school, Distribution of CDS within 500 feet of public housing. Bail was set at ($30,000/10%)

1-27-2016 (Pine St) - Theft from a motor vehicle parked in a parking lot. A Dell laptop computer was taken in this incident

1-29-2016 (Park St) - A tote bag containing personal effects was stolen.

1-29-2016 (Park St) - A wallet was stolen from inside an office building.

1-29-2016 (Highland Ave) - A gray Audi A6 was stolen from a resident’s driveway.

1-29-2016 (Fairfield St) - Vandalism to a motor vehicle. A vehicle’s driver side window was smashed in. Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle.

1-31-2016 (Bloomfield Ave) - Vandalism to a business. The store’s front glass window and glass door was shattered. Nothing was reported stolen from the business.
