Montclair Police Blotter: Attempted Home Burglary / Smashed Car Windows / NY Giants Diaper Bag Theft

Montclair Police Blotter: May 16 to 22

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted directly from the Montclair police blotter, a listing of selected reports that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

  • 5-16-2016 (Dryden Road) - Theft of a wallet from an unlocked motor vehicle. 
  • 5-16-2016 (Forest Street) - A vehicle parked in a residential driveway had two of its windows smashed.
  • 5-20-2016 (Stephen Street) - A vehicle parked in a residential driveway had one of its windows smashed.
  • 5-20-2016 (Montclair High School Annex) - Theft of a cellular telephone from an unlocked locker in the male locker room. 
  • 5-20-2016 (Hawthorne Place) - Attempted burglary to a residence.  Attempts were made to access the home through the first floor windows.  No entry was gained. 
  • 5-21-2016 (Walnut Street) - Theft of a delivered package from a residential porch.  This package contained clothing items. 
  • 5-22-2016 (South Fullerton Avenue) - Theft from a motor vehicle.  A GPS unit was taken in this incident. 
  • 5-22-2016 (Harrison Avenue) - Theft of a NY Giants logo diaper bag, which was left on the roof of a vehicle in a residential driveway.
