Montclair Police Blotter: March 22 to 26

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted directly from the Montclair police blotter, a listing of selected reports that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
3-22-2016 (Orange Road) - Theft of two bicycles from a residential garage. The door lock was damaged to gain entry.
3-23-2016 (Clinton Avenue) - Theft of numerous tools from a residence currently under renovation.

3-23-2016 (Kings Supermarket, Valley Road) - Theft of a purse from an unlocked motor vehicle.
3-24-2016 (Union Street) - Burglary to a residence undergoing renovations. A laptop computer was taken.

3-24-2016 (Essex Avenue) - Theft of a delivered package. This package was discovered in Hincks Alley by a passerby, and returned to its owner.
3-24-2016 (Dryden Road) - Theft of a laptop computer from an unlocked vehicle.
3-24-2016 (YMCA, Park Street) - Theft of a cellular phone from an unlocked locker in the men’s changing room.
3-25-2016 (Franklin Place) - Attempted burglary to a garage. Access was gained through an unlocked window. Nothing was reported missing in this incident.
3-25-2016 (Franklin Place) - Attempted burglary to a garage. Pry marks were discovered on an exterior door, however it appears that entry was not gained. Nothing was reported missing in this incident.
3-26-2016 (Willowmere Avenue) - Theft of a bicycle from a garden shed. Access was gained by prying the door open.
3-26-2016 (Draper Terrace) - Theft of two bicycles from a garage. Entry was gained through an unlocked window.
