Montclair Police Blotter: Lululemon Fraud / DWI / Package Theft / Slashed Tires

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted directly from the Montclair police blotter, a listing of selected reports that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

2-17-2016 (Essex Avenue) - Vandalism to a motor vehicle. The rear tire of this vehicle was discovered to have been slashed.

2-17-2016 (Orange Road) - A 63yoa man from Montclair, was arrested as a result of a motor vehicle stop. He was charged with Possession of CDS and issued summonses for Open Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle as well as equipment violations.

2-17-2016 (Pine Street) - A 51yoa man from East Orange was arrested on an open warrant out of Montclair totaling $2,500.

2-18-2016 (YMCA, Park Street) - A wallet and cellular telephone were taken from a locker in the men’s locker room.

2-19-2016 (ACME, Valley Road) - Shoplifting of food and hygiene items. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10”, 180 lbs, 35-40 yoa, wearing a black pea coat, and a New England Patriots red/blue stocking hat.

2-19-2016 (Irving Street) - Theft of a bicycle from the side yard of a residence.

2-19-2016 (Mission Street) - Theft of jewelry from a first floor apartment. No signs of forced entry.

2-20-2016 (North Fullerton Avenue) -A vehicle was vandalized in the rear parking area of an apartment building. Two of the tires on this vehicle appear to have been slashed.

2-20-2016 (Lululemon, Bloomfield Avenue) - Three suspects utilized fraudulent credit cards to make transactions in the store. The suspects were last seen walking on South Park Street. The suspects are described as: 1) Black male, 19 years old, 5’7 in height, thin build, short hair, goatee wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans. 2) Black male, 19 years old, 5’7 in height, thin build, short hair, goatee possibly wearing a dark green hooded jacket. 3) Black female, 19 years old, 5’7 thin build, mid length straight black hair.

2-21-2016 (Alexander Avenue) - Theft of a delivered package. The package in question contained clothing. The suspect is described as a middle-aged, heavyset white or Hispanic male, clean shaven, wearing dark pants, a black baseball style hat, a black suit jacket and white collared shirt.

2-21-2016 (Maple Avenue) - A 28yoa man from North Plainfield, was arrested and charged with DWI and possession of CDS. A 41yoa passenger from Montclair was arrested on an open no-bail warrant out of Paterson.
