Montclair Police To Host ‘Coffee With Cop’ Event On May 16

Montclair police will be on hand to have a friendly chat with local residents during the successful, ongoing event.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Montclair Police Department Community Service Unit will host its next “Coffee with a Cop” Tuesday, May 16, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Starbucks, 582 Valley Road in Montclair.

“Questions about crime?” a MPD news release about the event stated. “Let’s talk about it over a cup of coffee. Join your neighbors and the Montclair Police for coffee and conversation.”

The Montclair Police Investigative Division will be featured at this event, the release stated.

According to the MPD:

“The idea behind Coffee with a Cop is to afford the public an opportunity to meet and speak with local law enforcement professionals in an open and friendly atmosphere. The program has already proved successful in over 175 police agencies in 36 states. The public may ask questions of the officers or just pop in to meet the person in uniform and say hello over a nice hot cup of coffee.”
