Montclair Police: Man Slashed With Box Cutter In Exxon Gas Station
A man slashed a victim with a box cutter during a fight inside the Exxon gas station on Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair police say.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A man slashed a victim with a box cutter during a fight inside the Exxon gas station on Bloomfield Avenue last month, Montclair police say.
According to the Montclair Police Department, two adult males got into a physical altercation inside the Exxon station on Dec. 16. During the argument, one of the men reportedly took out a box cutter and slashed his victim on the shin.
The man with the box cutter then fled the area on foot, possibly north on Grove Street or west on Bloomfield Avenue, police said.

Emergency responders treated the victim for his injury, police stated.
Authorities described the alleged assailant as a black male about 25-years-old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet, wearing a dark green or black-hooded sweatshirt and carrying a dark-colored backpack.
