Montclair Police Release Sketch Of Robbery Suspect
Montclair police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery on Harrison Avenue.

The Montclair Police Department released a composite sketch of a man wanted in connection with an alleged Nov. 11 gunpoint robbery on Harrison Avenue.
According to the MPD, the victim described the suspect as a thin black male with dreadlocks, wearing a red and gray sweatshirt, black and white sweatpants and a black, beanie-style hat.
Police further stated that the suspect is about 25 to 30-years-old, 5 feet 8 inches and 140 to 160 pounds. [See above artist sketch]

According to police, the alleged robbery took place around 11:05 a.m. near the intersection of Cedar Avenue.
The victim, a 39-year-old West Orange resident, told police that a man approached him and brandished a handgun, telling him “Give me your phone.”

According to the victim, the suspect then grabbed his phone and fled on foot in the direction of Cedar Avenue.
Police stated that the victim wasn’t injured during the incident.
