Montclair Police Updates: Still Seeking Missing Woman, Park Slasher

Police are still seeking a woman reported missing on July 10, and a suspect in a July 23 slashing in Nishuane Park.

Police are still seeking clues to the whereabouts of a 33-year-old Montclair woman reported missing on July 10.

According to police, Chrystal Williams was last seen leaving her Montclair home heading to her job at the TJ Maxx Store in West Caldwell.

Williams was last seen wearing tan-colored cargo shorts with a dark t-shirt and white Nikes with powder blue trim. She is 4 feet 10 inches and weighs about 115 pounds. [See above photo]

“We’re doing an extensive investigation,” Montclair Police Lt. David O’Dowd told Patch. “We have a detective assigned solely to that case until we resolve it.”

When asked if there were any signs of foul play, O’Dowd said that there were none so far, but that the MPD can’t determine that until the case if officially resolved.

NISHUANE PARK SLASHING

Montclair police are also still seeking a suspect who allegedly slashed a woman in Nishuane Park with an unknown weapon on the night of July 23.

Emergency responders transported the woman to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are seeking a tall, black male suspect about 40-years-old, who was last seen traveling south on High Street in a “newer model,” red, two-door vehicle.
