Montclair Kimberley Academy's ice hockey team is boosted by the contributions of Montclair residents this winter season as a young Cougars squad was off to a 2-6 record through the first eight games highlighted by a 6-2 triumph over neighborhood rival Montclair High in the annual Montclair Cup Game on Thursday, Jan. 8 at the Montclair Clary Anderson Arena.
Among the Montclair residents excelling vs. the Mounties were junior goal tender James Bronson who had 23 saves, junior forward Ethan Kilcullen, who had a goal and two assists, and freshman Aaron Glasser who contributed two assists in the Cougars' victory.
Kilcullen entered the week of Jan. 12 with a team-leading 5 goals, while Bronson had 242 saves and a .921 save percentage.

Juniors Ollie Ro and Noah Glasofer and freshman Owen Borelli, who has a 1 goal and an assist so far this season, are among the other township residents on the MKA squad this winter.
MKA was scheduled to host West Orange, Monday (Jan. 12) and then visit Bayonne, 3;30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14. Also upcoming is a home game vs. Verona, 4:15, Wednesday, Jan. 21, and then the second meeting of the season vs. MHS, 4:15 p.m., Friday, Jan. 23,
