Montclair School Budget Will Mean Tax Increase (VIDEO)

Taxes will go up for the average Montclair homeowner under the 2018-19 school budget.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Montclair Board of School Estimate has approved a $125 million budget for the local school district in 2018-19.

Last week, the BOSE unanimously approved the district’s annual budget, which will increase the school tax levy in Montclair from 2.47 percent to 2.89 percent. It will mean an increase of $294 for a Montclair homeowner with a property assessed at the average value of $510,448, NorthJersey.com reported.
