Montclair Woman Arrested During Bloomfield Massage Parlor Prostitution Bust

Bloomfield police arrested a Montclair resident during a prostitution bust at multiple massage parlors in the township, authorities say.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Bloomfield police recently arrested six women - including a Montclair resident - during a prostitution bust at multiple massage parlors in the township, authorities announced Sunday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers launched an undercover investigation at several massage parlors in town after allegedly finding incriminating ads for their services on Facebook and Backpage.com.

Police say that the ads pointed to the following locations:

  • Health Spa at 599 Bloomfield Avenue
  • Bloomfield Therapy at 669 Bloomfield Avenue
  • Top Health Spa at 28 Washington Street
  • “34 Cross Street” (no business name used)

The women face charges of solicitation of prostitution, operating without a license and misrepresenting themselves as licensed massage therapists, police said.

The arrestees included Athena Reid-Azam, 44 of Montclair, Meisha Jin, 51, of Little Ferry, Chong Lee, 68, of Lodi, Enji Piao, 53, of New York, Xianji Li, 53, of New York, and Hayeon Kim, 58, of New York.

Police issued the women summonses and released them pending court dates.
