Montclair Woman Injured In Hit-and-Run Near Glenridge and Pine: Police

Montclair police are seeking the driver of a white sedan who allegedly ran down a woman in an intersection.

MONTCLAIR, NJ – Montclair police are seeking the driver of a white sedan who allegedly ran down a woman in an intersection on Tuesday evening.

According to the Montclair Police Department, around 6:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run car collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Glenridge Avenue and Pine Street.

Police said that a white sedan allegedly struck a 45-year-old Montclair woman as she walked west on Glenridge Avenue, striking her as the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Pine Street. The sedan’s driver then fled the scene prior to police arrival, and was last seen traveling south on Pine Street, authorities said.

No information was available about the make, model or registration of the alleged hit-and-run vehicle, police stated.

Emergency responders transported the injured woman to University Hospital in Newark in stable condition, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, authorities stated.
