Montclair Woman Swiped Local Teen’s Pocketbook: Police
The juvenile told officers that as she was walking on Lincoln Street, an adult approached from behind and grabbed her pocketbook, police say
Montclair, NJ – Montclair police charged a local woman with robbery after she allegedly tried to swipe a pocket book from a 15-year-old female on Lincoln Street earlier this month, authorities say.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the juvenile told officers that as she was walking on Lincoln Street on July 2, an adult female approached her from behind and grabbed her pocketbook, breaking the strap in the process.
The adult then fled – taking out cash and throwing away the pocketbook – eventually disappearing behind a nearby residence, police said.

After conducting an investigation, police arrested the Montclair resident and charged her with robbery, authorities said.
