Montclair's Murphy Twins Lead MKA Girls Lacrosse
...Shea and Maggie Big Part Of Cougars Success
Montclair Kimberley Academy's girls lacrosse team knows that it can always count on the Murphy twins, juniors Maggie and Shea, to provide strong all-around play for the Cougars.
The 3-year starters and standout midfielders each had strong junior seasons for MKA (10-10) which reached the Essex County Tournament final and gave a terrific effort vs. top-seeded Glen Ridge before being edged, 6-5.
The Cougars also won a third straight prep B tournament championship.

Maggie contributed 28 goals and 5 assists, while Shea scored 47 goals and had 20 assists.
Maggie added 31 ground balls and 53 draw controls and Shea had 39 ground balls and 43 draw controls.

"The offensive contributions from Shea and Maggie Murphy along wih Bebe Scourzo, Payton Sullivan and Biko McNeil have been really important for us," said MKA first-year head coach Kristen Klank. "They've helped drive the attack with energy and purpose.
"Each brings something a little different and that variety has made the offense more dynamic."
