Township administrators issued a reminder about the local rules surrounding political signs on Monday.
The regulations – which aim to “keep our community safe and ensure fairness” – follow below:

LOCATION
- Signs must be attached to a principal building or placed at least 10 feet back from all property lines.
- Signs may not be placed on public property, including roadsides, medians, rights-of-way, or the area between the street and sidewalk. This includes parks, areas near our train stations, and common areas like the Church Street triangle.
SIZE

- Political signs may not exceed four square feet in total area.
- Signs may be no more than six feet high at their highest point.
LIGHTING
- Political signs may not be illuminated, including with spotlights or other artificial lighting.
