Hate Group Stickers Found In Montclair: 'Better Dead Than Red'
Montclair police have been running across stickers that promote a white nationalist group.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — “Better dead than red.” So declared a sticker found in Montclair last week that promotes an organization that’s been labeled as a hate group, authorities said.
According to the Montclair Police Department, officers have been running across stickers that promote Patriot Front, a white nationalist organization that has been labeled as a "hate group" by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
On Sept. 1, officers found a sticker on a street sign on Orange Road. The sticker bore a web address for the group, police said.

On Sept. 2, another sticker for the group was found on an Elm Street traffic pole, police said.
Similar stickers have recently been found on Elm Street, Orange Road and High Street. Some have included slogans such as “Better dead than red,” and “America is not for sale.”

In May, police found three Patriot Front stickers posted to light poles in Porter Park. They read: “One Nation Against Invasion.” A witness told police he removed the stickers and threw them away.

Other white nationalist groups have also left a footprint in Montclair.
In March, a witness found a "neo-Nazi" sticker that read "NJEHA.com Take Back Your Country" posted on the schedule board at the Mountain Avenue Train Station, police said.
The sticker promoted the same group that was seen on flyers around downtown Bloomfield last year.
