Store Spotting: New Businesses in 2013

You Patch editor took a jaunt up and down Bloomfield Avenue and these were the new businesses he found!

 

A flurry of new businesses set up shop in Montclair before and after the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve. 

The next time you are walking up or down Bloomfield Avenue, check out some of these new storefronts!

Manhattan Juice Bar & Cafe, at 212 Glenridge Ave. 

This trendy cafe opened up at the end of December and is tucked away just off of Bloomfield Avenue near Church Street. With chairs, tables and couches, this cafe serves up Mediterranean salads and sandwiches, paninis, smoothies, coffee, tea and pastries. There is also free Wifi.

Trend Coffee & Tea House, at 411 Bloomfield Ave.

This coffee house reopened on Jan. 5 after shutting its doors months ago. This cafe has coffee, tea, a plethora of homemade pastries and muffins, and serves lunch and breakfast. With tables and couches and free Wifi, it’s a great place to just hangout or have a casual business meeting. 

 

TiaMarie Beading Studio, at 406 Bloomfield Ave. 

If you like making your own jewelry, this is the spot for you. You can also purchase ready-made jewelry as well. 

 

Chatni Indian Restaurant, at 381 Bloomfield Ave.

This Indian restaurant opened its doors about three weeks ago and is across from the Social Security building on Bloomfield Avenue. With a homey and comfortable atmosphere, this restaurant serves up traditional Indian dishes, in addition to making deliveries and serving vegetarian fare.  

 

RRefurbish Fashion, at 344 Bloomfield Ave. 

This hip, hole-in-the-wall boutique specializes in custom tailoring and alterations, and handmade suits, shirts, pants and gowns. It is also a thrift store, where you can find boots, sports jackets, dresses and more. It opened on Nov. 17.

 

Full Kitchen & Bath, at 295 Bloomfield Ave. 

A recent addition next to Lackawanna Plaza, this store offers custom counter tops, vanities, cabinets, sinks, tiling and more. 

 

Be Evolution Yoga Boutique, at 18 Lackawanna Plaza 

This yoga studio recently expanded to include a shop for all things yoga Eastern: mats, apparel, nutritional supplies and more. 

 

Elements therapeutic massage, at 496 Bloomfield Ave. 

This new massage business opened on Dec. 22 in the Hinck Building running along Bloomfield Avenue and Church Street. The massages they offer are: regular, Swedish, sports, prenatal and more.
