Supporting Your Balancing Act: A Workshop For Working Moms

On Sat., Nov. 8 from 1-4 p.m., Montclair Public Library will host its second in a series of workshops to address work/life balance issues.

On Saturday, November 8 from 1 to 4 p.m., Montclair Public Library will host its second in a series of workshops to address work/life balance issues faced by working mothers. The afternoon will bring together like-minded women in a safe atmosphere of sharing and support. Attendees will engage in discussions that will inspire working moms to take action towards creating a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Led by Arlyce Anderson, a Certified Life Coach, and Mary Funari, a PCi Certified Parent Coach, the workshop will provide a supportive community for women to identify major stressors, tune into feelings and needs, and get support and inspiration to try to create more joy in everyday life. Attendees will participate in break-out groups and reflective exercises.

This session will address family and relationships. The final workshop will be held on Saturday, January 10 and will cover personal topics.

As the mother of two teenage children, Anderson speaks often on topics related to creating balance between work and life as well as creating a pathway for excellence at work.

About Mary Funari

Mary Funari is a PCI Certified Parent Coach® through the Parent Coaching Institute, an Approved Instructor of The Art of Positive Parenting® curriculum, and holds an MBA in Health Care Management with high honors from Boston University. Funari served as president of the Board of the Montclair Counseling Center during 2010-2012 and offered parent education classes there. She currently teaches positive parenting classes and workshops at the Geyer Family YMCA and other locations in Northern New Jersey. Funari lives with her husband and two teenage sons in Montclair, where she enjoys yoga, reading and walking her dog.
