MONTCLAIR, NJ — Suspects in a van reportedly stole used cooking oil from a restaurant in Essex County last week, police say.
The Montclair Police Department released the following statement about the incident, which took place on Jan. 5 on Park Street:
“An employee of Napoli Trattoria and Pizzeria reported surveillance cameras to the business captured a blue van pull up to the rear of the business during off hours and cut the lock off of the used cooking oil drum. The suspects then used a hose to extract the oil from the drum. The vehicle was described as a 2006 Ford Econoline van. At the time of the report, there was no value of the oil.”
