Upper Montclair Senior Helps Lead MKA Hoopsters
...Veteran forward Jonah Weinberg boosts Cougars' fortunes
Upper Montclair resident Jonah Weinberg is a valuable veteran senior forward for the Montclair Kimberley Academy boys basketball team.
The 6-foot- 0 Weinberg, a hustling forward, is also one of the only experienced players back this season for the Cougar hoopsters who graduated most of the experience off last season's Super Essex Conference-Freedom Division championship squad.
"Jonah provides strong defense and is an excellent rebounder," said longtime MKA coach Tony Jones. "He also provides some great leadership for our young team."

MKA starts two freshmen and a sophomore which makes Weinberg's presence on the court, along wtih fellow senior Van Girton Marshall, so important for MKA which is going through the rigors of a rebuilding season against a challenging schedule.
The Cougars had a 1-7 record through their first eight games, but have played tough against the opposition, including in a nip-and-tuck 52-50 setback to private school rival Newark Academy on Monday, Jan. 13, at NA in Livingston.
