Veteran Outfielder Sparks MKA

Veteran outfielder Jake Rendino of Montclair has continued to be a mainstay for the Montclair Kimberley Academy baseball team as the senior tri-captain was batting .344 with 9 RBI through the first 10 games for a surging 9-1 Cougars diamond squad.

"Jake is a tremendous hitter and terrific outfielder who has been a very productive 4-year varsity player in our program," said MKA second-year head coach Mike Sasso. "We always know that we can count on him to help ignite our offense and also make a big catch when we need it."

Rendino, who has helped MKA take a lead in the Super Essex Conference-Colonial Division title chase with a 5-0 record in the division through April 24, is an excellent student and will attend Duke University in the fall.
