Water Valve Exercises Will Take Place Along Montclair Aqueducts
The North Jersey District Water Supply Commission will be conducting valve exercises on Oct. 28 and 29 in Montclair.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The North Jersey District Water Supply Commission (NJDWSC) will be conducting valve exercises along Montclair Township aqueducts on Wednesday, Oct. 28 and Thursday, Oct. 29, weather permitting.
According to a township news release, the valves to be exercised will be closed 15 percent to comply with the Water Quality Accountability Act requirements and to limit water discoloration and/or turbidity.
“Other towns served by NJDWSC will be more susceptible to such occurrences due to their proximity to the work being done, however, all municipalities may experience some color or turbidity issues,” Montclair town officials said.
