It's a tall order choosing the best Italian food in a place with so many choices

 

It's a tall order to ask people in Montclair about the best Italian food in town. There is a plethora of fabulous choices! The results of this week's Best Of poll are in and, as expected, several establishments have garnered a league of fans. The overall winner, though, was , but other restaurants such as Fascino and Corso 98 also attracted a lot of votes.

Osteria Giotto has drawn a huge number of rave reviews in recent years. The Star-Ledger once said that the reason it's so hard to get a table there is because of the restaurant's "thoroughly workable culinary philosophy."

Another review on Zagat said that "the mussels/clams appetizer was just as delicious the second time, and the portion is suprisingly large for the price! The pasta dishes are superb. If they have the linguini special with lobster, crab and shrimp—GET IT. Service is outstanding."

Indeed, chef Luca Valerin’s has been conjuring up scrumptious dishes from his native Italy for eight years at the restaurant.
