• 180-bed rehab center planned for former Western Union site in Montvale (nj.com subscription) — A major 180-bed skilled nursing and rehab center is now under construction at the former Western Union campus at 100 Summit Ave. in Montvale, bringing all-private rooms and specialized senior care to town. The independently operated Montvale Post Acute and Healthcare Center, supported by Marquis Health, is expected to open in 2027–28 and aims to meet growing statewide demand for elder care.
   

• Valley offering radial shockwave therapy for chronic pain at two locations (roi-nj.com) — Residents can now access radial shockwave therapy for chronic musculoskeletal pain at Valley Health System’s Montvale Campus at 400 Market St., as well as in Ridgewood. Valley’s Integrative Medicine team offers this noninvasive treatment for patients 16 and older, often alongside chiropractic care, acupuncture, or massage, with many seeing noticeable pain and function improvements within weeks.
