13th Annual Mustang Classic To Host Regional High School Bands
Montville Township High School Marching Band to perform award-winning program of time travel in honor of Township's 150th Anniversary.
The Montville Township High School Marching Band will host the 13th Annual Mustang Classic Band Festival on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 5:30 PM. Six of the regions competitive high school bands will take the field at the MTHS stadium, 100 Horseneck Road in Montville New Jersey. The Mustang Classic Marching Band Festival is a competition of pageantry and precision that is fun for the whole family. Tickets are only $12 for adults and $7 for senior citizens and children.
More than 300 student musicians and color guards, will compete for top prizes. Delaware Valley, Passaic Valley, Pequannock Township, Pompton Lakes and Wayne Valley High Schools are among the marching bands scheduled to perform.
A panel of five US Bands certified judges will be judging the pageantry and precision of each performance and scoring the half-time show competition.

The award-winning MTHS Marching Band and Color Guard will also showcase their exciting 2017 show: THE TIME MACHINE, which focuses on time travel. Inspired Montville Township's 150th Anniversary year celebrations the band’s 2017 program reaches 150 years into both the past and the future.
Performing THE TIME MACHINE, the 2017 MTHS Marching Band and Color Guard recently took first place at the North Warren Band Competition and received Caption Awards for Best Color Guard, Best Music, Best Visual and Overall Effect, and, a special award, for Best in Show. The MTHS Marching Band received the highest score among all competing bands at the North Warren event.

The MTHS 2017 Marching Band is led by Director Chelsea Stebbins and Assistant Director Garrett Vargo. 2017 Student leadership includes: Guard Captain Natalie Sliwowski (Senior), Senior Drum Major Vicki Iasso, Junior Drum Major Julie Lee and Guard Captain Megan Testa (Senior).
The 13th Annual Mustang Classic Band Festival is a fun family event. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for senior citizens and children.
