Accidental 911 Call Leads To Police Response At Montville High
There was no cause for concern, police said.

MONTVILLE, NJ — Montville Township Police reassured parents there was no emergency after they responded to the high school on Friday in responded to a student accidentally dialing 911.
A high school student accidentally called and hung up on 911 during the school day on Friday, police said. When a dispatcher called the student back, they determined there was no emergency.
Police were went to the high school to verify that the student was in class at the high school, and officers found no cause for concern at the school.

"The call was an isolated, accidental mis-dial," police said.
Communities around the country have been on edge following a school shooting in Parkland, Florida that left 17 dead. Two students were arrested in Jefferson for making threats against the school, and parents in Chatham were reassured that schools were safe an inappropriate social media posting by a student.
