Helicopter Mosquito Treatment Planned Over Montville Wednesday, Thursday (patch.com) — Helicopter crews will be flying low over Montville as Morris County conducts aerial larvicide spraying Wednesday and Thursday mornings to curb high mosquito populations in local standing water. Officials say the treatment targets larvae using an approved insecticide and will cover Montville and several neighboring towns starting at 7 a.m. each day.
3. Montville Introduces Decibel-Based Noise Standards and Outlines Open Space Spending (tapinto.net) — Montville officials are moving to adopt strict decibel-based noise limits and redirect open space funds toward trail maintenance and new signage, with public hearings set for September 22. The Township Committee also scheduled an October 13 sale of township land on Changebridge Road and heard residents' concerns about hazardous trees and overgrown roadside vegetation.
4. State police say the August 25 crash left him critically hurt; he passed away a week later after being flown to a hospital.
