Mine went up 12%. Am I the only one affected? I haven't seen much about this in the Patch. At the very least, Montville residents should voice their complaints to their political reps and the media. I sent emails to governor Christie and our state senator Pennacchio, neither of whom replied. I'm not surprised. They could care less. I'm only one person. But if more outraged citizens sent emails, maybe that would elicit a response. Meanwhile I will contact the media. Perhaps they'll take an interest. The state politico's were touting a 2% cap on property taxes. So how do I rate a 12% increase, especially when the township assessment on my house went down? Property taxes are out of control and the township seems to have a tax-at-will philosophy and residents be damned. Something must be done to end this.
