Montville Girl's Group Advances on 'X Factor'
Emily Michalak, one-tenth of InTENsity, will have the chance to perform live in the talent search competition next week.

InTENsity, a group of 10 of the best 12- to 17-year-old performers who auditioned for "The X Factor," will get to perform live on the next episode in a quest for the $5 million top prize—which mean's Montville Township's Emily Michalak is still in the game.
Michalak, 13, has . Like the other members of InTENsity who auditioned as solo artists, she was told she didn't make the cut, but then was called back to perform as a new group instead.
There are 17 remaining acts broken into four categories—four groups, five girls, four boys and four performers over the age of 30. A rapper, a crooner and a country group are among them.

InTENsity performed for judge Paula Abdul and special guest Pharrell Williams at Abdul's house in Santa Barbara, Calif., in an episode that aired Sunday. They performed a mashup of "That's Not My Name" by The Ting Tings and "You Make My Dreams" by Hall & Oats.
Previously, Michalak was highlighted performing Snow Patrol's "Run."
