Montville Native Leads Team Through Winning Streak

Mount Olive College senior Nick Gaeta, a graduate, delivered a pair of multi-hit games last week helping the fourth-ranked NCAA Division II Trojans extend their winning streak to 21 games.

Gaeta reached base seven times in 13 plate appearances during a three-game weekend sweep of Limestone in Gaffney, S.C. In the opener, Gaeta delivered two hits and two RBIs in a 15-7 win.

In Saturday's doubleheader, he was 2-for-3 with an RBI-double, then walked three times and scored three runs in the nightcap.

For the season, Gaeta is hitting .400 despite battling nagging injuries. He has 28 RBIs and 17 runs scored.
