Montville Recreation Department

The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring MATH CLASSES for students in Grades 3-5.

The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring MATH CLASSES for students in Grades 3-5.

In this accelerated 6 week program, begins with addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, decimals, and percents. Students then progress into general strategies for solving problems that invoice a wide range of mathematical concepts. Students will use varied approaches such as drawing diagrams and graphing, making lists, eliminating unreasonable possibilities, identifying patterns, guessing and checking, and manipulating variables. By the end of the program students will develop better critical thinking and creative problem solving skills in addition to strengthening their mathematical-reasoning abilities.

Choice of session/s include:

# 1 - Mondays: April 18, 25, May 2, 9, 16 & 23 from 4:30pm to 5:15pm.

# 2 - Tuesdays: April 19, 26, May 3, 10, 17 & 24 from 5:30pm to 6:15pm.

The cost is $155.00 per person per 6 (six) week session.
