Montville Recreation Department

The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring:

CHESS PROGRAMS for BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE students in Grades 1-8.

Students will learn the origin of chess, the rules of the game, the moves of the chess figures, and winning strategies, while participating in group and individual instruction. Instruction will be provided by the International World Chess Academy.

Classes are held on Tuesdays: January 20, 27, February 3, 10, 17, 24, March 3 & 10. Times are 4:30 to 5:30pm for Beginners & Returning Students and/or 5:35 to 6:35pm for Intermediate Level, Older Beginners & Returning Students.

Classes are held at the Montville Community Park’s FIELD HOUSE located at 130 Change Bridge Road in Montville.

Instruction is provided by Mr. Roland Yakobashvili, International Ranked Chess Master.

The cost is $105.00 per person for the 8 week session.
