Montville Recreation Department

TENNIS LESSONS for Ages 5-11 for Beginner Level Players.

The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring TENNIS LESSONS for Ages 5-11 for Beginner Level Players.

USSI's Foundation Tennis classes follow developmental guidelines laid out by the USTA. Regardless of age, participants will focus on fundamentals of tennis, including stroke technique, serving, court awareness and rallying. Most importantly activities are delivered in a low pressure, yet energetic environment, ensuring optimal learning, all the while maintaining the enjoyment factor of being on the tennis court.

Open to first time players and those with some experience who are looking to gain a strong foundation in Tennis. All players must provide their own racquet.

Classes take place on Saturdays: September 17, 24, October 8, 15, 22 & 29 (No Class: 10/1).

Session - 1

Ages - Ages 5 to 8

Times - 11:00am to 12:00pm

Session - 2

Ages - Ages 8 to 11

Times - 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Classes take place at the Montville Twp. High School Tennis Courts located at 100 Horseneck Road in Montville.

Instruction is provided by First Play, LLC (run by USSI staff). USSI is at the forefront of providing quality youth programs to communities. All USSI tennis instructors are professional coaches (not High School students), each with over 3 years of experience in the sport.

The cost is $110.00 per person for the 6 (six) week session.
