Montville Recreation Department

FORENSICS INTRO - Competitive Speech and Debate program for students in Grades 6th-8th, Beginner & Advanced Levels.

The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring a FORENSICS INTRO - Competitive Speech and Debate program for students in Grades 6th-8th, Beginner & Advanced Levels.

This program will focus on the techniques of effective public speaking in the areas of oral interpretation, oratorical, interpretation, extemporaneous and impromptu speaking, as well as public forum debate.

Classes are held on Tuesdays: October 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 & December 6 from 3:45pm to 5:45pm.

Classes take place at the Montville Twp. High School Media Room & Class Room 301 located at 100 Horseneck Road in Montville.

Instruction is provided by Mrs. Mary Gormley, Montville Twp. High School’s Forensics Coach for 28 years, coaching students in local, state and national competition in the areas of Speech and Debate. Students from the award winning team will be acting as seminar interns.

The cost is $135.00 per person for the 8 (eight) week session.
