Get Ready for Soccer - Soccer Camp for Ages 3 - 14 - Enhance your Skills!!!

The Montville Recreation Department will be offering a variety of Soccer Camps for Ages 3 to 14.

Camps will run Monday through Friday, August 24th – 28th including: First Play, Premier Play & Soccer Squirts.

SOCCER—FIRST PLAY — Ages 5 to 8 and Ages 8 to 11 - Experience the excitement of the world’s most popular sport at US Sports Institute’s First Play Soccer Camp. Children will thrive on the exciting and enjoyable atmosphere generated by our qualified, international coaches. Participants will engage in a variety of fun games and challenges designed to enhance basic soccer skills; dribbling, passing, shooting and field awareness. Each day culminates in our World Cup tournament, where players have the chance to put their skills to the test in small sided and regular soccer scrimmages. The sole focus is on developing a basic understanding of the game and experiencing the excitement of soccer through the freedom of play.

SOCCER—PREMIER PLAY — Ages 7 to 11 and Ages 11 to 14 - Premier Play Soccer is where champions are made! This unique day camp allows travel soccer players aged 7–14 to train just like the professionals, without having to live away from home. During the week, players will experience various soccer activities which are utilized by professional soccer clubs and organizations including; speed, agility and quickness, small sided Futsal sessions, set play tactics and team formation plays! Small sided and official scrimmages will be played each day under the guidance of our professional coaches, ensuring that players gain a full understanding of the beautiful game.

SOCCER SQUIRTS — Ages 3 to 5 - Often Imitated, Never Duplicated. US Sports Institute’s Soccer Squirts camp provides an introduction to the beautiful game, in a fun filled, safe environment for children aged 3-5. The program is a 5 day mini camp, comprising of enjoyable and imaginative games and scrimmages. Soccer Squirts is designed to develop motor skills, balance and coordination within a low pressure social environment. The Soccer Squirts camp schedule includes a range of games based upon, short passing, dribbling, turning and of course shooting. As well as not forgetting the most important aspect… FUN, FUN, FUN!

Camp options are as follows:

Session # 1 - First Play for Ages 5 to 11 from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The cost of the program is $189.00 per person.

Session # 2 - First Play for Ages 5 to 11 from 9:00am to 12:30pm. The cost of the program is $159.00 per person.

Session # 3 - First Play for Ages 5 to 11 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The cost of the program is $109.00 per person.

Session # 4 - Premier Play for Ages 7 to 14 from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The cost of the program is $199.00 per person.

Session # 5 - Premier Play for Ages 7 to 14 from 9:00am to 12:30pm. The cost of the program is $169.00 per person.

Session # 6 - Premier Play for Ages 7 to 14 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The cost of the program is $119.00 per person.

Session # 7 - Soccer Squirts for Ages 3 to 5 from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. The cost of the program is $89.00 per person.

Equipment - Children should bring plenty to drink! Appropriate clothing for sporting activities and sneakers should be worn. Children should dress appropriately based upon the weather! Layered clothing is the best. Children participating in FULL DAY camps should bring a bagged lunch.

Camps take place at Camp Dawson Turf Fields located at 80 Jacksonville Road in Towaco (Note: No METAL spikes on the Turf Fields!).
