Montville Recreation Department - Social Skills

The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring SOCIAL SKILLS GROUPS classes for Students in Grades 2-8.

Classes will be held at the Academic Excellence Center, 2 Change Bridge Rd, Suite 203 in Montville

These groups are individually tailored to address the social and emotional needs of children grades 2-5 and 6-8 by providing useful strategies they can immediately put into place to improve their behavior in different environments. Small groups of 4-8 students (depending on activity level) interact with their peers while skilled child psychologists, therapists and special ed teachers involve them in engaging, skill building activities specifically designed to aid in social development.

The following sessions are available according to topic, grades, dates & times:

Social Skills for Gr 6-8
Mondays: April 13, 20, 27, May 4, 11 & 18
4:30pm to 5:15pm

Social Skills for Gr 3-5
Mondays: April 13, 20, 27, May 4, 11 & 18
5:30pm to 6:15pm

Social Skills Speech Emphasis for Gr 2-8
Tuesdays: April 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12 & 19
5:30pm to 6:15pm

Social Skills ADHA/Spectrum for Gr 2-8
Tuesdays: April 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12 & 19
6:15pm to 7:00pm

The cost of the program is $180.00 per person per 6 (six) week session.
