The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring TENNIS LESSONS provided By USSI for Ages 5-14. Classes will take place on
Saturdays: April 18, 25, May 2, 9, 16, 30, June 6 (No Class: 5/23) for 7 weeks.

FIRST PLAY TENNIS for Ages 5-8 from 10 to 11am, Ages 8-10 from 11am to 12pm and/or Ages 10-14 from 12-1pm. The USSI’s first play tennis class follows developmental curriculums and guidelines laid out by the USTA, including their highly appraised 10 and Under Tennis format. Regardless of age, participants will learn the basic fundamentals of stroke production, court movement and footwork skills in a low pressured, yet energetic environment. Most importantly it’s all about fun, with games, games and more games during each session! This class is for beginner level players.
DEVELOPMENT PLAY TENNIS for Ages 8-12 from 1-2pm. The USSI’s Development Play Tennis caters to intermediate players looking to take their game to the next level. Using curriculums and guidelines set out by the USTA, Development Play Tennis allows participants to work towards refining fundamental skills of stroke production, rally consistency and court awareness, all essential aspects to successful match play. This class is for intermediate level players.

Classes take place at the Montville Twp. High school Tennis Courts, 100 Horseneck Road in Montville.
Instruction is provided by US Sports Institute staff. USSI is at the forefront of providing quality youth programs to communities. All USSI tennis instructors are professional coaches (not High School students), each with over 3 years of experience in the sport.
The cost is $125.00 per person per 7 (seven) week session.
